THE RECAP: St. Louis picked up their first points of the season last time out with a 4-2 victory over Milwaukee back on October 17. Jackson Henningsgard impressed in his Jr. Blues debut, scoring a goal and an assist, while defenseman Tommy Ramer had an identical scoreline as well. Owen Carlson put in a 42-save performance to pick up his first junior hockey win.

STICK OR TREAT: In our return to Wentzville, we’re getting into the Halloween spirit: kids in costume will get in free this weekend. Fans are reminded that face coverings for all attendees are mandatory and social distancing encouraged. More FAQs for fans interested in coming can be found here.

SCOUTING THE TRADESMEN: Oregon is a new entry in the NA3HL this season, operated by the same ownership group that also runs the NAHL’s Janesville Jets. While officially they are a continuance of the old Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts, much of their talent comes from another former Central Division foe: the Coulee Region Chill, who themselves were purchased and moved to Oklahoma City this off-season. The Tradesmen’s head coach and top six scorers all were in La Crosse last season, led by Parker Severson and Sam VanderHoeven who both have four goals and four assists. Oregon enters the weekend with a 4-1-0 record, with their most recent series being a road sweep of Peoria.

JUNIOR NOTES: Oregon is no stranger to the NA3HL: the town south of Madison, Wisconsin previously played host to the Wisconsin Whalers before their move to Wyoming….With this potentially being our final game in Wentzville, we would like to thank the entire staff at the Wentzville Ice Arena for giving us a home while ours cannot be used.
