Two Games Go to OT and the Jr. Blues Come Away with 3 Points

Saturday, December 28 – St. Louis 3 @ West Bend 4 (SO) – Drew Garipay had the game winning goal in the shootout as the West Bend Power edged the St. Louis Jr. Blues 4-3. After Braydon Davis opened the scoring for St. Louis, Jackson Hoem and Danny Jurcich scored within 90 seconds of each other to give West Bend their first lead of the night. Mitchell Nappier would even the score at two heading into the second intermission. Jace Fitzgerald put West Bend back in front with his eighth of the year but Mason Andrew responded with just under four minutes left in regulation to force overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the Power took the shootout 2-1. Adam Prokop was the winner in the blue paint with 21 saves. Alexander Rivolta was sensational, stopping 53 shots in 65 minutes of action.

Friday, December 27 – St. Louis 3 @ West Bend 2 (OT) – Mason Andrew’s second goal of the night was the game winner in overtime as the St. Louis Jr. Blues continued their strong play, knocking off the West Bend Power 3-2. Blake Mitchell opened the scoring for West Bend with his seventh of the year. In the second Eric Denny and Andrew would score to put the Jr. Blues ahead 2-1. Mike Sobaski would tie the game midway through the third period with his ninth of the campaign. That set the stage for Andrew’s overtime winner, his 10th of the season. Travis Visvadra got the win in the blue paint, making 33 saves. Adam Prokop was dealt the loss as he made just 15 stops.
