The Jr. Blues shutout the Falcons 12-0

Ben Jones had a big night with 4 points (0 goals, 4 assists) as the St. Louis Jr. Blues crushed the Dayton Falcons 12-0 in a home game at South Metro Ice Sports in St. Louis. Furthermore, Hunter Smith posted a shutout, stopping all 3 of Dayton shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead early in the first on a goal from Matthew Hohl and never looked back.

Daniel Dunaway did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Nathan Mccomb delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

In the first period, Hohl opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:27 with helpers from his teammates Jones and Papa. Dunaway put in a goal at 19:25 with helpers from Monreal and Jones.

During the second, Biffignani deposited a goal at 8:27 with an assist from Mccomb. Nilsson scored a goal at 10:57 with assists from his linemates, Dabbs and Papa. Galaguzov put in a goal at 16:47 with helpers from Dunaway and Jones. Mccomb quickly followed with a goal at 18:10 with assists from Hohl and Udris. Monreal quickly followed with a goal at 18:56 with helpers from Galaguzov and Udris.

During the third, Dunaway deposited a goal at 2:50 with assists from his linemates, Galaguzov and Monreal. Yurisich netted a goal at 8:27 with helpers from Carroll and Dabbs. Nilsson scored a goal at 13:23 with assists from Udris and Carroll. Dabbs put in a goal at 18:03 with helpers from Jones and Smith. Mccomb quickly followed with a goal at 19:51 with assists from Biffignani and Mcatee.

The Jr. Blues’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Smith’s shutout, as he stopped all 3 of the shots he faced. Smith’s counterpart, Miller, also had a big night, managing to stop 46 of 53, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (4-1-0-0).
