The Jr. Blues crushed the Capitals 5-2

The St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering the Atlanta Capitals with 33 shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Hunter Muzzillo.

Will Baginski chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jack Hazelton did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Michael Klintworth delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Jones opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 3:25 with a helper from his teammate Baginski. Klintworth answered for Atlanta with a goal at 15:42 with a helper from fellow Capitals forward Ladzinski.

During the second, Baginski answered for St. Louis with a goal at 1:08 with an assist from Monreal. Muzzillo deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:02 with an assist from his defensive partner, Mcatee. Hazelton put in a goal at 16:41 with helpers from his linemates, Slot and Dabbs.

In the third period, Rusakov answered for Atlanta with a goal at 12:23 with a helper from Klintworth. Cox answered for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 19:47 with assists from his linemates, Hazelton and Smith.

St. Louis’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Smith as he stopped 20 of the 22 shots he faced. Smith’s counterpart, Konin, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (30-6-0-0).
