St. Louis Jr. Blues alumni Paul Stasnty and Chris Butler had a strong tournament, but Team USA lost in the Quarterfinals to Finland ending their hopes of a World Championship medal. The team went 6-2 in the tournament with wins over France, Canada, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Finland, and Switzerland. They dropped games to Slovakia, and Finland in the knockout rounds. Stastny was named one of Team USA's Three Outstanding Players notching 3 Goals and 6 Assists in 8 games. Butler scored once and added an assist while logging over 130 minutes of ice time on the blue line for Team USA.
