A QUICK RECAP: The Jr. Blues went 2-0-1 in their preseason campaign to start out the year, beating Lindenwood-Belleville (NAIA) 3-1 and Saint Louis Univ. (ACHA-D2) 9-3, while falling in a shootout to SIU-Edwardsville (ACHA-D2) by a 7-6 score.

A LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE: If you’re curious as to why the Jr. Blues are playing a three-game series this weekend, it’s because this year the Central Division has seven teams in it, with each team playing the other six clubs three times at home and three times away. St. Louis will have three other three-game series this year, when they face Coulee Region both at home and away and travel to Wausau to finish off the regular season.

SCOUTING THE ‘BOLTS: Last year, Evansville recorded its best season in their short history, making the playoffs and giving the Peoria Mustangs all they could handle despite being swept 2-0. However this season sees a lot of changes for the men from Southern Indiana, including a new coach, new ownership, and a re-tooled roster.

JUNIOR NOTES: The Jr. Blues will have their home opener on October 4 at 7 pm against the North Iowa Bulls. Be sure to be there early as we’ll have giveaways from our sponsors, lots of pre-game fun, and more.
