VENUE: Affton Ice Rink, Affton, Mo.

GAME TIMES: October 6 at 7 PM, October 7 at 2 PM (all times Central)

WHERE TO FOLLOW: All Jr. Blues home games are streamed live and in high-definition on HockeyTV.com (subscription required). Jr. Blues director of media Kevin Gier will be on the call. On Twitter, follow @JrBluesGameday for live updates.

A QUICK RECAP: The Jr. Blues ride a five-game winning streak into this weekend, having swept the Dayton Falcons 12-0 and 7-0 in Ohio. Forward Dan Dunaway, defenseman Ben Jones, and goaltender Blake Bjella were also all named honorable mentions in the Bauer/Vaughn NA3HL Player of the Month awards for September.

HOME SWEET HOME: It’s the home opening weekend for the Jr. Blues, and with it comes a good bit of celebration. Most notable amongst the festivities is the annual Skate With The Team following Friday’s game, free to all ticketholders. It should be noted that those who wish to hit the ice are strongly encouraged to bring their own skates, as the Affton Ice Rink does not have skates to rent.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: North Iowa comes into the series having won all six of their fixtures, including a sweep of Metro last weekend—the Jets’ first regular-season losses since the 2015-16 campaign. Forward Tyler Bump leads the strong Bulls offense with 15 points (6 G, 9 A). Last year the Jr. Blues and Bulls split the season series, each team winning once in South County and once in Mason City.
