BACK ON ‘THAUPT: Despite playing only two full games of the East Showcase, Jacob Wiethaupt managed to score six points (4 G, 2 A) for the weekend, allowing him to scoop the Bauer/NA3HL Star of the Week award for the Central Division.
A SPECIAL THANKS: The St. Louis Jr. Blues and the family of Officer Mike Langsdorf would like to personally extend their gratitude to everyone who attended last Saturday’s First Responders Game. Thanks to you, we raised more than $8,000 for his family.
SCOUTING THE RIVERWOLVES: Wausau is still looking for their first win of the 2019-20 campaign, entering the weekend with an 0-5-1 record. Head coach Colin Bailey’s club brings a lot of experience to the table, with leading scorers Tanner Eskro (2 G, 2 A) and Robert “Rollie” Carlson (2 G, 1 A) both returners from last year’s squad.
JUNIOR NOTES: The Jr. Blues would like to welcome all families in town for the Big Bear Tournament this weekend to Affton to enjoy both games: children under 12, as always, receive free admission to all Jr. Blues home games….St. Louis takes on North Iowa next weekend in a renewal of one of the NA3HL’s top rivalries: it’s also the final home games for the Jr. Blues until December 7. Game times are at 7 pm on October 19 and 1 pm on October 20.
