A QUICK RECAP: St. Louis only played one game last weekend, but what a game it was: in front of a large and raucous crowd, the Jr. Blues extended their Central Division lead over Milwaukee to four points with a 1-0 win. Jake Wiethaupt scored the only goal on the power-play, while Mikaël Foucher recorded his fourth shutout of the year, stopping all 28 Power shots.

GO INSIDE THE GLASS: The fourth edition of our popular YouTube series “Inside The Glass” is up, chronicling the Jr. Blues’ impressive showing at the NA3HL Showcase. Take a look at it here.

SCOUTING THE LUMBERJACKS: Granite City moved into first place in the West Division with a 6-4 win over Rochester mid-week, but are only ahead of North Iowa by one point atop the log entering this weekend’s games. All five of the ‘Jacks’ top scorers are returners from last year’s Fraser Cup semi-finalists, led by Zack DeBoom with 40 points (14 G, 26 A) and Hunter Schwehr with 38 (11 G, 27 A). Goaltending has been a strong suit for Brad Willner’s men, with veteran David Mulligan (11-2-0, 2.32 GAA, .908 SV%) and rookie Matt Fitzgerald (7-1-1, 1.72, .920) splitting duties between the pipes.

JUNIOR NOTES: At the conclusion of this season, the Jr. Blues will be auctioning off the sweaters worn for the past six seasons, giving you the chance to own a piece of our history. In addition, alumni who wish to purchase their old jersey will have their nameplate sewn on it. Keep an eye on our social media platforms as well as this site for information on the auctions.
