A QUICK RECAP: St. Louis got a crucial four points last weekend, beating Peoria twice (4-3 in a shootout on Saturday and 4-0 on Sunday). Joey Boccardi was named Bauer/NA3HL Central Division Star of the Week for his weekend, where he scored three points (2 G, 1 A) across the two games. In addition, Will Oliver posted his first shutout of the year on Sunday, stopping all 48 Mustang shots.

HEAD EAST: The first two Jr. Blues players to make college commitments this year both signed with NCAA Division III schools on the East Coast earlier this week. Forward Clayton Dawe committed to SUNY-Fredonia, while Will Oliver will man the nets for Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

BE A BUDDY: Saturday marks the Jr. Blues’ annual Brendan’s Buddies game, where the team will be wearing commemorative jerseys in support of #1 fan Brendan Staub. To read more about Brendan’s journey, click here.

SCOUTING THE POWER: Milwaukee has had an up-and-down campaign this year, with much change both in their roster from last season and in the office, as the team has installed both a new head coach and general manager this year. Despite this upheaval, the Power have fared decently after the new year, claiming wins over playoff contenders Willmar and Coulee Region. Top Prospect representative Garrett Alton has earned his trip to Attleboro with his unselfishness, leading the team with 21 assists.

JUNIOR NOTES: Congratulations go out to Kim Oliver (1st quarter) and Greg Tome (halftime, 3rd quarter, and end of game) for winning the Super Bowl Squares game….The Jr. Blues have one regular-season weekend left, as they take on the Granite City Lumberjacks on February 28 and 29: game times are 8:15 pm on Friday and a 1 pm Saturday matinee.
