A QUICK RECAP: Last weekend the Jr. Blues made the Central Division race a little bit more interesting with a sweep of Milwaukee, winning both games 3-2, albeit with one of them coming in a shootout. Goaltender Mikaël Foucher picked up the Bauer/NA3HL Central Division Star of the Week award for his performances, which saw him record a .942 save percentage across the two games.

SHOWCASE LOWDOWN: This is the last series for St. Louis before they fly up to Minneapolis for the 2018 NA3HL Showcase next week: they will face the Northeast Generals on December 16, the Louisiana Drillers on December 17, and cap off their trip north against league-leaders Lewiston/Auburn on December 18. SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS: Peoria sits third in the Central Division and enters the weekend having won their last three games, including a sweep of Evansville last weekend. ’02 forward Tristan Trudel has been one of the top young players in the NA3HL, scoring 18 goals and 12 assists: he has also had a weekend call-up to the Springfield Jr. Blues, who are coached by former Peoria bench-boss Tyler Renette. The goaltending has been evenly split between Jaden Gardner (6-2-1, 2.50 GAA, 913 SV%) and Trevor Smith (7-6-0, 2.68, .919): expect to see both in action this weekend.

JUNIOR NOTES: At the conclusion of this season, the Jr. Blues will be auctioning off the sweaters worn for the past six seasons, giving you the chance to own a piece of our history. In addition, alumni who wish to purchase their old jersey will have their nameplate sewn on it. Keep an eye on our social media platforms as well as this site for information on the auctions.
