A QUICK RECAP: The Jr. Blues come into this weekend’s series off a bye, but before that swept Evansville 15-0 and 13-2. Zach Lodes was named Bauer/NA3HL Central Division Star of the Week for his performance two weekends ago, scoring five goals and four assists across the two games.

SHOWCASE LOWDOWN: The Jr. Blues’ opponents in the 2018 NA3HL Showcase at Blaine, Minn. were released earlier today: they will face the Northeast Generals on December 16, the Louisiana Drillers on December 17, and cap off their trip north against league-leaders Lewiston/Auburn on December 18. If you’re interested in joining the Jr. Blues in the Twin Cities, visit na3hl.com/showcase to learn about hotel deals and the full schedule of events.

NEW FACES:Earlier this week the Jr. Blues acquired two new players, defenseman Dylan Giacin and goaltender Jack Regan. Giacin is a St. Louis native returning back home after playing at Culver Academy and with the Syracuse Stars in the USPHL: this year he played in 21 games for Syracuse, scoring four assists. Regan joins the Jr. Blues from the NCDC after a stellar season last year for Detroit Belle Tire 18UAAA, where the man from Toledo, OH posted a 1.16 GAA and .941 save percentage. Giacin has been allocated squad number 20, while Regan will wear number 33.

SCOUTING THE POWER: Milwaukee has established itself as one of the teams to beat this year after moving north from Alabama in the off-season, sitting nine points clear of St. Louis atop the Central Division albeit having played three more games. Chuck Bay, a former teammate of St. Louis defenseman Mason Kruger with TPH Thunder, leads the team with 59 points (24 G, 35 A), good for third overall in the league behind Binghamton duo Mike Padgeon and Eric Melso. Goaltender Aaron Dickstein leads the NA3HL with 17 wins, and also carries a 2.29 GAA and a .917 goals-against.

JUNIOR NOTES: At the conclusion of this season, the Jr. Blues will be auctioning off the sweaters worn for the past six seasons, giving you the chance to own a piece of our history. In addition, alumni who wish to purchase their old jersey will have their nameplate sewn on it. Keep an eye on our social media platforms as well as this site for information on the auctions.
