WIN OR GO HOME: The Jr. Blues and Mustangs meet in a re-match of last year’s Midwest Division Finals series for the chance to play for the Fraser Cup in Romeoville, Ill. next week. Last year, St. Louis completed a dramatic comeback in a decisive Game 3 to secure their second straight trip to Chicagoland.

COX COMMITS: Forward Jake Cox became the second Jr. Blue to announce he will be playing NCAA hockey next year when he committed to play for Southern New Hampshire. Read all about it here.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS: Peoria faced Evansville last weekend in a preliminary series for the right to face the Jr. Blues: the Mustangs overcame a 5-3 deficit with three minutes to go in Game 1 to win 6-5 in overtime, before clinching the series with a convincing 6-0 triumph in Game 2. Jack Radley and Jack Power Wayvon both scored five points in the Evansville series: Radley scored four goals and added one assist, while all five of Wayvon’s points were helpers.

LOOKING BACK: St. Louis and Peoria played each other eight times this season, with the Jr. Blues winning the season series 7-1-0. The only win for Peoria came in the first game of the series, which doubled as the first game of the year for both clubs. Interestingly, this will be the two sides’ first matchup since the month of January, as six of the eight regular-season meetings between the clubs were scheduled before Christmas.

JUNIOR NOTES: On behalf of the entire Jr. Blues organization, we would like to thank all our volunteers, billet families, business partners, and suppliers for a great 2017-18 season. We couldn’t have had the great success of this year without you, and look forward to your continued support in the future.
