ST. LOUIS’ GALAGUZOV MAKES NCAA COMMITMENT

Apr 25, 2019

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Ivan Galaguzov has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Lawrence University. The Vikings, from Appleton, Wis., play in the NCHA.

A native of Yekaterinburg, Russia, the 6’, 182 lb winger came to the Jr. Blues after a successful career in the Erste Bank Young Stars League in central Europe. He quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the NA3HL, racking up 77 goals and 109 assists in his three seasons in St. Louis. He scored two goals and added an assist playing for the Central Division team at the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, and in the playoffs he continued his torrid scoring form, scoring 21 points (11 G, 10 A) in the Jr. Blues’ three trips to the Fraser Cup Finals.

“Ivan’s been arguably our finest player over the past three seasons,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “Obviously his numbers show that he’s got great offensive talent, but what they don’t show is that he also plays a strong, physical, 200 foot game. Lawrence is getting a great young man in Ivan who will certainly make an impact on their program from the moment he steps onto campus.”

Galaguzov is now the fourth Jr. Blues player to make a college commitment this off-season, joining Matt Monreal (SNHU), Joe Papa (St. John’s), and Hunter Muzzillo (UNLV).
