The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are extremely pleased to announce that forward Seamus Campbellhas signed a tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings of the North American Hockey League. The Wings play in the NAHL’s Central Division and are the defending Robertson Cup champions.
A native of Kirkwood, Mo., the 6’, 155 lb right-hander has certainly made a name for himself since joining the Jr. Blues from Carshield AAA of the NAHPL. In 43 games, Campbell has scored eleven goals and 15 assists, while committing only four penalty minutes. He has been called up by the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL, scoring a goal in his Tier II debut, and was a special invitee to the 2020 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, where he recorded an assist in two games played. Last week, Campbell became the first NA3HL player since 2016 to commit to an NCAA Division I program, when he announced his intent to attend Quinnipiac of the ECAC: this built on him being the first NA3HL player ever to be named to the NHL Central Scouting mid-term watch list for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
“This is a great move for Seamus as he continues to build on his hockey potential,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “Aberdeen is a team that does everything right both on and off the ice, and [Wings head coach] Scott Langer is an exceptional leader of men who creates an environment where talent can thrive. We’re very proud of Seamus on signing with the Wings.”
Campbell becomes the ninth NA3HL player and first Jr. Blue to sign an NAHL tender for the 2020-21 season.
