Late goal as the Jr. Blues fall to the Lumberjacks 3-2

Logan Neu scored the game winning goal late in the game as the St. Louis Jr. Blues narrowly lost to the Granite City Lumberjacks 3-2 in a home game at Armadillo Deck Sports Arena in St. Louis. Furthermore, Blake Bjella came up big, stopping 23 of 26 shots throughout the game.

Brandon Baker had a busy night with 2 assists.

During the first period, Buhl opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 7:41 with helpers from his teammates Ohmes and Deboom. Baginski answered for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 11:55 with an assist from defenseman Jones. Olson answered for Granite City with a goal at 18:11 with helpers from Baker and Altena.

During the third period, Capkovic answered for St. Louis with a goal at 9:01 with assists from Cox and Hatton. Neu answered for the Lumberjacks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:55 with helpers from Sikich and Baker.

This loss brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (28-6-0-0).
