Jr. Notes Host Grizz At Affton

DAPRON NAMED TO TOP PROSPECTS TOURNEY: Jr. Blues forward Jack Dapron has been selected to the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament Feb. 7-8 in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. He will play on Team Black at the four-team event under the direction of head coach Darryl Locke (Northeastern Generals) and assistant coach Nick Bruneteau (Mason City Toros). 

A star for the Blues and St. John Vianney High, Dapron has accumulated 11 goals and 14 assists (25 points) in 34 games this season. He has two multi-goal games and three multi-assist games this season. A senior Golden Griffin, Dapron also has 11 goals and 6 assists (17 points) for Vianney this season. This is his second year with the Jr. Blues. 

AT AFFTON: The Blues host the Rochester Grizzlies Feb. 4-5 at Affton Ice Rink. The team hosts Oregon Feb. 18-19 and Milwaukee Feb. 25-26 to close the 2021-22 home schedule. 

SCOUTING THE GRIZZ: Rochester (60 points) stands at the top of the Central Division as the regular season moves into its final 30 days. The Grizz are 7 points ahead of second-place Peoria (53) and 8 ahead of third-place Oregon (52). The Grizz have won five in a row. They are coming off 5-1 and 6-3 victories over the Milwaukee Power last weekend. The Grizz trailed in the finale after one period and stood tied after two before reeling off three straight goals in the third to open a comfortable margin of victory.
