A QUICK RECAP: The Jr. Blues took down Evansville 16-0 and Wisconsin 8-0 last weekend at home. Standout performances came from Ivan Galaguzov (3 goals and 1 assist on Saturday) and Dante Jones (5 goals and 1 assist on Friday), while Ty Barnhill and Mikaël Foucher both pitched shutouts in goal.

TRANSACTION NEWS: The Jr. Blues acquired forward Jack Moore this week from the Granite City Lumberjacks for other considerations. A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Moore is a right-handed shooter in his second NA3HL season: last year he scored 31 goals and added 41 assists for the Yellowstone Quake, and scored 5 points (2G, 3A) in 6 games played for the ‘Jacks. Moore has been assigned squad number 28.

SUPPORT FIRST RESPONDERS: The Jr. Blues’ third annual First Responders Game is coming up next Saturday at 4 pm, when the Jr. Blues have a Fraser Cup semi-final rematch against the Coulee Region Chill. The Jr. Blues will be wearing special commemorative jerseys that afternoon, which will be auctioned off to support Responder Rescue, an organization that provides support to St. Louis-area firefighters, police, and EMTs dealing with injuries and trauma suffered on duty.

SCOUTING THE POWER: In their first season in Wisconsin since moving from Decatur, Alabama, the Power have acquitted themselves exceptionally well in the Central Division, coming in to the weekend in first place and undefeated at home. They are led by forwards Chuck Bay (10G, 12A) and Logan Geisness (8G, 12A), while Jake Berry (2G, 13A) provides ample scoring punch from the blue line.

JUNIOR NOTES: Mark your calendars for November 17, when the Jr. Blues and Affton Youth Hockey will be holding a mouse-races fundraiser at Nubby’s BBQ at All American Hockey Arena.
