Jr. Blues To Represent The Central Division at the Silver Cup Championships

The St. Louis Jr. Blues won the best of three series over division rival, Peoria, on Sunday to advance to the Silver Cup Championship on Thursday. 

After dropping game one in Peoria on Friday night 5-4, the Jr. Blues rebounded with a 4-3 win at home on Saturday to force game three. In the three game series, Mike Lozano and Tommy Heinzman notched 5 points each in 3 games with Lozano scoring the series clinching goal late in the second period of game 3. Alex Klaesner notched 4 points in the 3 game set and Cooper Cotheran stopped 53 of 57 shots in the two games he played.

Next up is the Silver Cup Championships in Chicago beginning Thursday. 

The Jr. Blues play Flint on Thursday at 5:00 p.m., North Iowa at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and Dallas at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

The top two seeds after round robin advance to the Championship game on Sunday and earn bids to the USA Hockey National Championships.
