AFFTON — The St. Louis Jr. Blues are proud to partner with The BackStoppers Inc. and Budweiser Guns ‘N Hoses for an evening in support of the family of Officer Tamarris Bohannon, who gave his life in the line of duty last summer.
The Jr. Blues will host Backstoppers Night on Saturday, February 13th at Affton Ice Rink. A special pregame ceremony in honor of Officer Bohannon will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The St. Louis City Police Honor Guard and the St. Louis County Police Bagpipers will be on hand for the pregame ceremony. The Jr. Blues will take the ice vs. the Milwaukee Power at 7:10 p.m.
“You show your support and do anything you can to keep the memory alive. You do everything for a family whose loved one lost their life protecting the city of St. Louis,” said Jr. Blues GM and head coach Chris Flaugher.
A custom jersey auction will raise money for The Backstoppers, a 501(c)3 organization that “provides ongoing needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs in our coverage area who have lost their lives in the line of duty.”
The special edition jerseys will feature the Backstoppers logo on the front and a picture of Officer Bohannon on the back.
