The Jr. Blues widened the gap in the second. Brodie Mich pulled Wisconsin within one at 3–2, but that momentum was short-lived. Nicholas Morgan added an early insurance marker in the final frame, scoring just over two minutes in to effectively seal the contest. St. Louis finished with a commanding 43–35 edge in shots, including a 19-shot first period that set the offensive tone.
