St. Louis 7 @ Wisconsin 2 – It was a goal-scoring party for the St. Louis Jr. Blues Friday night, as they cruised to their central-division best 10th win in a 7-2 smashing of the Wisconsin Woodsmen. The win was St. Louis’ fourth-straight against the Woodsmen and seventh-straight win overall. The game started even, as the teams traded goals early. Jr. Blues’ Mitchell Nappier’s third of the season and Wisconsin’s Ethan Foiles’ second of the year had the teams deadlocked at 1-1 early. The teams again traded goals late in the period, this time thanks to St. Louis’ Nicholas Morgan’s sixth of the season and Wisconsin’s Nolan Mix’s fifth of the campaign. The teams went to intermission knotted at 2-2. St. Louis took the game over in the second period. Chase Kozma’s fourth of the season put St. Louis in front permanently. A short-handed goal from Joseph Lopiccolo – his second of the season – put the Jr. Blues up by a pair heading to the final frame. The third period saw more lamp-lighting for the Jr. Blues. Jace Jordan’s eighth goal of the year just over three minutes in gave his squad a 5-2 lead and took the wind out of Wisconsin’s comeback-effort sails. After Jordan’s dagger, Jack Reuss and Lopiccolo each found the twine again to put a stamp on the dominant win for the Jr. Blues.

St. Louis 5 @ Wisconsin 4 – A big second period helped the St. Louis Jr. Blues earn a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over the Wisconsin Woodsmen Saturday night in Tomah. The win stretched the Jr. Blues’ winning streak to eight games and was the team’s 11th win overall to top the central division. Wisconsin’s losing skid now hits five games with the loss. Wisconsin got the better of the central-leading Jr. Blues early. Two goals late in the first period from Brodie Mich – his fourth and fifth of the year – put Wisconsin ahead by a pair after the opening 20 minutes. The Jr. Blues woke up early in the second period. Jack Reuss’ fourth and Jace Jordan’s ninth goals of the year squared the game at 2-2 just under eight minutes into the middle frame. Late in the period, a power-play goal from Lonnie Land gave St. Louis its first lead of the night with just under four minutes to go in the period. Land’s goal was his eighth of the campaign and sent the Jr. Blues to intermission with a 3-2 advantage. It took Wisconsin just under three minutes to equalize in the third period. Ethan Foiles tallied his third of the season short-handed to deadlock the game at 3-3. The tie didn’t last long. Just 37 seconds after Foiles’ tally, Jace Jordan put the team on his shoulders with an unassisted power-play goal to put St. Louis back in front. The back-and-forth continued, as Nolan Mix’s sixth of the year brought Wisconsin back even at 4-4 with 7:45 remaining in the game. The Jr. Blues again had a response, which wound up going unanswered. Chase Kozma’s fifth of the campaign sealed the deal for St. Louis with just under six minutes remaining. The Jr. Blues and goaltender Travis Visvarda fought off the remaining Wisconsin attack to escape with a 5-4 win.
