JR. BLUES’ ROSS MAKES COLLEGE COMMITMENT

Jul 6, 2020

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Evan Ross has committed to play college hockey at Missouri State University. The Ice Bears, located in Springfield, Mo., play ACHA Division I hockey in the WCHL.

The 5’11”, 175 lb native of Ladue, Mo. joined the Jr. Blues in October of this season and made an instant offensive mark, scoring a goal in only his second game with the club. He ended the season with 12 goals and 8 assists in 32 games, with five of those goals coming on the power-play. Ross was selected to play for the Central Division team at the 2020 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in Attleboro, Mass., where he tallied one goal and one assist in three games played.

“Evan was an impactful player for us,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “He plays a fast game and was a big contributor to our special teams. Evan was used in all situations for us, and was also a big contributor in places not listed in a box score. We wish him all the best at Missouri State.”

Ross is the ninth member of the 2019-20 Jr. Blues to make a college commitment, and the third to announce he will play at Missouri State. Also joining him in Springfield is fellow forward Jake Wiethaupt, as well as defenseman Mark Capkovic.
