NOTES RETURN HOME: St. Louis returns to home ice this weekend, welcoming the division-leading Grizzlies to Affton Ice Rink. The Blues are 2-3 in the Saint Louis area so far this season. The team has played its previous home games at the Wentzville Ice Arena and the St. Peters Rec-Plex, where it hosted the Grizzlies Oct. 1-2 to open the season. The Blues dropped both contests vs. Rochester, falling by finals of 4-1 and 3-1. The Blues travel to Rochester next weekend for Jan. 15-16 matchups with the Grizz. Both games are scheduled for 7:05 pm.

BLUES SLIP IN PEORIA: The Blues are coming off of a doubleheader loss last weekend in Peoria. In the Friday night matchup, the Blues got off to a hot start. The team built a 2-0 lead behind a shutout first period from Owen Carlson. He would finish with 34 saves, but the Blues fell 4-3. St. Louis dropped the weekend closer 4-0.

SCOUTING THE GRIZZLIES: Rochester has been the Central Division’s best team this year, winning 16 of its first 19 games. Its 32 points rank third overall in the NA3HL.
