Jr. Blues Release 2009-10 Roster

Jr. Blues Roster Set for 2009-10!   The Jr. Blues have finalized their roster just in time for the season to begin on Labor Day Weekend.  The defending CSHL League Champions have many back from their first place team along with several talented newcomers.   

Goaltending:  

Denis Chaltsev, 6\’, 175 – The 92 Moscow Russia native played last season for the St. Louis Selects U-18 AAA team.  

Joshua Hillegas, 5\’11\”, 170  – This 91 Middleton Wisconsin native played for the Madison Capitals U-18 AAA team.  

Defense:  

Eric Aldag, 5\’10\”, 190 – Veteran 91 was a key defensive part of the Jr. Blues last season and is expected to carry a huge load this season.  He also plays for CBC High School.    

Barclay Berner,  6\’1\”, 200  – Veteran 89 brings a physical game along with a strong shot from the point.  Barclay has been named Team Captain for the 09-10 season.  

Joe Bowler, 6\’3\”, 185  – This 92 rookie has great poise to go with his long reach, played last season with the Affton Midget Major Central States team.  Joe also plays for Granite City High School team.  

Jamie DeMarco, 5\’11\”,  155 – This 91 rookie is very valuable as a defenseman and forward.  He played last year with the Chesterfield Midget Major Central States team and also plays on Francis Howell North High School.  

Sean Gammage, 6\’4\”, 225 – Veteran 91 defenseman brings size and good puck skills to the blue line.  

Steven Terry, 5\’11\”, 185 – This 91 rookie defenseman, originally from Santee California, brings outstanding skating and offensive skills to the blueline.  He played last season for River Lake Stars High School in Minnesota.  

Ryan Trenz, 5\’11\” 170  – This 91 veteran played forward last season but has converted nicely to defense for this season.  Ryan also plays for CBC high school.   

Jim Worstenholm, 5\’10\”, 175 – This 90 rookie brings a good outlet pass with steady play on the blueline.  He played last season for Chesterfield Midget Major Central States team.     

Forwards:  

Erik Boning, 5\’10\”, 195, This 90 rookie has plenty of skill to go with his gritty hard working style.  He played last season for Affton Midget Major Central States.  

Bo Eastman, 5\’11\”, 210 – Veteran 91 winger with a good scoring touch will be counted on much more this season.  He also plays for Fox High School.  

Patrick Gregory, 5\’9\”, 180 – Veteran 91 winger with speed and grit is poised for a productive season.   

Kyle Everett,  6\’, 175 –  Rookie 90 forward with good skill and work ethic played Chesterfield Midget Major Central States last year.  

Chris Hutton, 5\’10\”, 200 –  Veteran 90 forward led the Jr. Blues in scoring last year is looking for another shot at making it to Nationals.   

Daniel Kaufman, 5\’10\”, 170 – Rookie 90 forward brings speed and skill to the line-up.  Played last season with Affton Midget Major Central States.  

Nate Kohlenhoefer, 6\’, 190 – Rookie 93 forward brings grit and tenacity to the forward line.  Played last year for Chesterfield Midget Minor Central States team.  He also plays for Chaminade High School.   

Ryan McGrath, 5\’6\”, 155 – Veteran 91 forward brings great shifty skills along with his relentless grit.  Also plays for Fort Zumwalt West High School.   

Jay Roux, 5\’9\”, 165 – Veteran 89 forward is known for his grit, hustle and skill along with some amazing goaltending skills.   

Justin Roux, 5\’9\”, 165 – Veteran 89 forward also known for his grit hustle and skill will continue with his twin brother to be the pulse of the Jr. Blues.  

Nick Saracino, 5\’10\”,  185 – Veteran 92 forward was a November call up for the Jr. Blues and quickly worked his way to the top line for the Jr. Blues.  Nick made the St. Louis Bandits (NAHL) this summer but was unable to play because of practice schedule conflict with his high school.   Nick will also be playing for CBC High School.   

Timofey Tankeev, 6\’2\”, 180 – Rookie 93 forward from Moscow, Russia, brings skill and size to the forward line.  Played last season for Moscow Dynamo.   

Dominic Valencia, 5\’11\”, 195 – Rookie 92 speedy forward played for St. Louis AAA U-16 last season.  Also plays for CBC High School.   

Travis Wool, 5\’5\”, 165 – Veteran 89 forward missed most of last year with an injury is primed for an outstanding season.
