JR. BLUES’ MUZZILLO MAKES COLLEGE COMMITMENT

Apr 10, 2019

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Hunter Muzzillo has committed to play college hockey at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Skatin’ Rebels play ACHA Division I hockey as an independent, and advanced to the round of 16 at the 2019 ACHA National Championships.

Tendered by the Jr. Blues in the summer of 2017 following a strong AAA hockey career, the 6’, 195 lb native of Capron, Ill. was a versatile cog in the Jr. Blues’ success the past two seasons. In 84 career regular season games splitting time between the forwards and the blue-line, Muzzillo scored 15 goals and added a further 29 assists for a career total of 44 points. He finished his career with a plus-minus rating of +59, and picked up three assists in the Jr. Blues’ Fraser Cup Playoffs run this season.

“Hunter came into this team with a can-do attitude, and he really showed it over the past few years,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “He provided valuable contributions no matter where and when he played, was an effective special teams player, and was never afraid to get involved physically.”
