The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that Defenseman Cameron McAtee has committed to play college hockey at the University of Arkansas. The Razorbacks play ACHA Division I hockey in the WCHL, and have been rapidly making a name for themselves as a program on the rise.
A 5’11”, 205 lb defenseman from Wentzville, Mo., McAtee scored 28 goals and added 87 assists during his time with the Jr. Blues and had a plus-minus rating of +99. He saved his best individual season for his last one: in 2017-18 he found the back of the net 15 times and recorded 33 assists, plus six more points (2 G, 4 A) in the playoffs.
“The St. Louis Jr. Blues program wish Cam the best of luck as he starts the next chapter of his life” said Jr. Blues coach Chris Flaugher. “We wish him all the best down in Fayetteville and look forward to him pursuing a college degree while playing hockey.”
McAtee becomes the seventh member of the 2017-18 Fraser Cup Final team to make a college commitment, and the tenth player with Jr. Blues ties to announce a decision to play college hockey this off-season.
