Jr. Blues Look To Rebound vs. Peoria

DAPRON NAMED TO TOP PROSPECTS TOURNEY: Jr. Blues forward Jack Dapron has been selected to the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament Feb. 7-8 in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. He will play on Team Black at the four-team event under the direction of head coach Darryl Locke (Northeastern Generals) and assistant coach Nick Bruneteau (Mason City Toros). 

A star for the Blues and St. John Vianney High, Dapron has accumulated 11 goals and 14 assists (25 points) in 34 games this season. He has two multi-goal games and three multi-assist games this season. A senior Golden Griffin, Dapron also has 11 goals and 6 assists (17 points) for Vianney this season. This is his second year with the Jr. Blues. 

AT AFFTON: The Jr. Blues return home vs. the Peoria Mustangs on Jan. 29-30. The club dropped a pair of games vs. the Mustangs on Jan. 15-16 by finals of 4-1 and 3-0. Jack Sumner scored Jan. 15 vs. the Stangs. The Blues host the Rochester Grizzlies Feb. 4-5 at Affton Ice Rink. The team hosts Oregon Feb. 18-19 and Milwaukee Feb. 25-26 to close the 2021-22 home schedule. 

SCOUTING THE STANGS: Peoria sits in third in the Central with 49 points. The team trails Oregon by one point for second place and Rochester by nine points in the race for first. The Blues are 1-5 vs. the Mustangs so far this season. The Jr. Blues took down Peoria 1-0 behind 44 saves from Brendan Cobb Dec. 17 in Peoria.
