SEASON FINALE: The Blues closed the home schedule with the two-game series at Affton vs. Milwaukee last weekend and head to Milwaukee Mar. 4-5 to close the 2021-22 season. The Jr. Blues open in Milwaukee 7 pm Friday.
LAST WEEKEND: The Jr. Blues rallied from a 4-0 deficit in Game 1 vs. Milwaukee, scoring three times to cut the Power lead to 1 before ultimately falling 4-3. The Jr. Blues took a 1-0 first period lead in Game 2 before the Power rallied for a 2-1 series-closing victory. Jacob Heuerman scored twice in Game 1. Rusty Hess also scored. The goals were the first of the year for both players. Carter Eifert scored the Jr. Blues goal in Game 2.
SCOUTING THE POWER: Milwaukee will finish fifth in the Central Division. The team currently owns 35 points and was eliminated from playoff contention two weeks ago by Wausau. The Power fell to the Cycolnes 5-4 and 3-2 (OT) to drop from the playoff race. The Power and Jr. Blues opened the season Sep. 10-11 with Milwaukee grabbing 5-2 and 7-4 wins at Ozaukee Ice Arena. The Jr. Blues took down the Power 2-1 on Oct. 8 as part of a two-game series split at Affton.
