Mar 10, 2017

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Ivan Galaguzov has agreed to tender with the NAHL’s Springfield Jr. Blues for the 2017-18 season.

A 5’10”, 165 lb native of Yekaterinburg, Russia, Galaguzov joined St. Louis this year after playing for Okanagan Hockey Academy in Austria last season. In his first year in American junior hockey, he has emerged as a key component of the Jr. Blues offense, scoring 22 goals and adding 42 assists in 42 games played.

“Ever since he arrived Stateside, Ivan’s been a huge asset to this team and our success this season,” said St. Louis head coach Chris Flaugher. “He’s got a great style of play, is a valued and incredible presence in the dressing room, and is always working hard off the ice on his fitness. We’re confident Springfield will be getting a quality player and person, and could not be happier to see him succeed.”

Galaguzov is the second St. Louis player to sign an NAHL tender this season, joining defenseman Trevor Wilhelm who was tendered by the Corpus Christi IceRays.
