SEASON FINALE: The Blues close the home schedule with the two-game series at Affton vs. Milwaukee this weekend and head to Milwaukee Mar. 4-5 to close the 2021-22 season. The Jr. Blues open in Milwaukee 7 pm Friday.
DAPRON CONTINUES IMPRESSIVE PLAY: Jack Dapron has registered 8 points in his last 7 games. He racked up 2 goals and 3 points Feb. 19 vs. Oregon. He and Gus Immken each scored twice in the game and each finished the series with three goals. Dapron played on Team Black at the four-team event under the direction of head coach Darryl Locke (Northeastern Generals) and assistant coach Nick Bruneteau (Mason City Toros). Dapron registered 2 assists in 2 games at the event.
SCOUTING THE POWER: Milwaukee will finish fifth in the Central Division. The team currently owns 31 points and was eliminated from playoff contention last week by Wausau. The Power fell to the Cycolnes 5-4 and 3-2 (OT) to drop from the playoff race. The Power and Jr. Blues opened the season Sep. 10-11 with Milwaukee grabbing 5-2 and 7-4 wins at Ozaukee Ice Arena. The Jr. Blues took down the Power 2-1 on Oct. 8 as part of a two-game series split at Affton. These will be the first meetings in more than four months between the teams.
