Former St. Louis Jr. Blues goaltender Josh Hillegas has committed to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Hillegas, who has seen time in the NAHL and EJHL the past two seasons is currently playing for the New England Huskies of the EJHL. Hillegas was a big factor in the Jr. Blues 2010 Tier III Jr. National Championship.
Former Head Coach Jack Behan said, "Josh was a key member of our 2010 National Championship Team. Josh was consistent for us all year but the Nationals brought out the best in him as he stopped 89 of 93 shots in the National Semi-Finals and National Championship Games against EJHL teams. Josh's great work ethic and even keel personality will make him a great asset for River Falls."
Current Head Coach JP Beilsten continued, "Josh will be a great addition for Wisconsin-River Falls. He is a competitor and does what he needs to in order to win a game. If not for Josh, we don't win that National Championship!"
