Jones' and Hatton's big nights helped the Jr. Blues crush the Jr. Thunderbolts 11-1

Dante Jones and Jack Hatton had big nights with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) and 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) respectively as the St. Louis Jr. Blues crushed the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts 11-1 in a home game at Swonder Ice Arena in St. Louis. Also, the St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering Evansville with 60 shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Jack Hatton and never looked back.

Dylan Carroll contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matthew Monreal delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first, Carroll opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 4:19 with helpers from his teammates Mcatee and Hatton. Scott quickly followed with a goal at 5:23 with a helper from fellow Jr. Thunderbolts forward Zahoran. Hatton answered for St. Louis with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:01 with assists from his linemates, Galaguzov and Cox. Cox put in a goal at 19:07 with helpers from his linemates, Hatton and Galaguzov.

During the second, Monreal netted a goal at 2:39 with an assist from Jones. Baginski quickly followed with a goal at 3:01 with helpers from his linemates, Jones and Monreal. Hatton deposited a goal at 6:30 with assists from his linemates, Carroll and Cox. Biffignani quickly followed with a goal at 7:04 with a helper from Kram. Jones scored a goal at 14:50 with assists from his linemates, Monreal and Baginski.

In the third period, Mcatee deposited a goal at 5:14. Marshall netted a goal at 11:13 with a helper from defenseman Mcatee. Jones quickly followed with a goal at 12:51 with assists from Baginski and Shively.

The Jr. Blues’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella as he stopped 14 of the 15 shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Linenburg, also had a big night, managing to stop 49 of 60, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (28-4-0-0).
