Cyclnes Overtake the Jr Blues
Saturday, February 8 – St. Louis 0 @ Wausau 7 – Connor Dvorak would score the only goal of the first period, but this would be the closest this game would ever stay. Brandon Piwko and Landon Bechtolt would pile on goals in the second period to extend the Wausau lead. Bechtolt would grab his second of the night on the powerplay to make the lead four after two frames. Eiji Hofmann and Micah Saxon would keep firing to keep expanding the Cyclones’ lead. Late in the third, Thomas Gerum scored the final goal for Wausau, and Brady Faille secured the 18-save shutout.
