Cox's hat trick helped the Jr. Blues crush the Capitals 6-3

Jake Cox led the way with a hat trick as the St. Louis Jr. Blues crushed the Atlanta Capitals 6-3 in a home game at Center Ice Arena in St. Louis. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Jake Cox.

Bud Winter had a busy night with 2 goals and Jack Hatton delivered for his team with 2 assists. Brody Nielsen chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second, Winter opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 2:21 with a helper from defenseman Mcatee. Rusakov finally put Atlanta on the board with a goal at 10:09 with helpers from his linemates, Nielsen and Ladzinski. Winter answered for St. Louis with a goal at 14:43 with assists from his linemates, Baginski and Marshall. Cox deposited a goal at 18:44 with helpers from his linemates, Galaguzov and Hatton.

In the third period, Cox scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:11 with an assist from his teammate Hatton. Steh answered for the Capitals with a goal at 14:13 with a helper from Medure. Jones quickly followed with a goal at 15:30. Nielsen quickly followed with a goal at 16:23 with an assist from defenseman Carlo. Cox quickly followed with a goal at 17:51 with a helper from fellow Jr. Blues forward Galaguzov.

St. Louis’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Smith as he stopped 22 of the 25 shots he faced. On the other hand, Smith’s counterpart, Konin, and Atlanta’s defense has had better outings allowing 6 goals in 23 shots.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (35-8-0-0).
