COMMITTED: St. Louis Jr. Blues forward and NA3HL Top Prospect, Jack Dapron, has committed to play ACHA Hockey at The University of Mary for the 2022-23 season, where he has not yet declared a major.
On why he chose The University of Mary:
“In their program history, they have won nearly 90% of their games, including every ACHA D2 National title they have been eligible for. The team is well run and the players are there solely to win. The small catholic university, which has also given me an academic scholarship, is a good fit for me and the fanbase for this team is incredible. Additionally, their move to ACHA D1 for the 2023-24 season will allow me to be a part of what is hopefully the beginning of a top D1 program.”
Head Coach/GM Brian McGlynn had this to add:
“I have coached Dapron for years, going back to when he was a key part in our high school state title with Vianney in 2020. He has always shown leadership, calmness under pressure, and a great deal of skill/hockey IQ. His contributions as our offensive leader this season were invaluable. His veteran presence and work as one of our captains was instrumental in preparing our rookies to take their next step. A long time Affton kid, he will represent Affton and the Jr. Blues well and we wish him the best of luck!”
