JR. BLUES NAME HOFSTETTER AS ALTERNATE CAPTAIN

Aug 12, 2019

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Sean Hofstetter will serve as an alternate captain for the 2019-20 season. Hofstetter joins captain Mason Kruger in this year’s leadership group.

A native of Columbia, Ill., the 6’1”, 155 lb right-hander has played all his hockey in the Affton Americans organization. In his rookie season of junior hockey, Hofstetter made his mark with 41 points (18 G, 23 A) in 45 regular-season games. He was named to the Central Division team for the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, where he scored a goal and an assist, and suited up for six post-season contests, in which he netted one goal to go along with two assists.

“Sean’s the kind of guy who leads best by example,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “Every day he comes in, punches the clock, and does everything asked of him and then some. With a lot of new faces on the roster this year, Sean’s the perfect person to introduce them to the Affton and Jr. Blues way of doing things.”
