Late goal as the Jr. Blues fall to the Capitals 5-4

Talon Medure scored the game winning goal late in the game as the St. Louis Jr. Blues narrowly lost to the Atlanta Capitals 5-4 in a home game at Center Ice Arena in St. Louis. In addition, the St. Louis Jr. Blues' defense had a poor night, allowing Atlanta 25 shots throughout the game.

Cameron Mcatee contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jake Cox delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Andrei Rusakov chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Tanner Opie did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first period, Carlo opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 3:31 with helpers from Rusakov and Ladzinski. Cox answered for St. Louis with a goal at 11:06 with helpers from Capkovic and Mcatee. Yurisich put in a goal at 15:50 with an assist from his teammate Monreal. Nielsen answered for the Capitals with a goal at 19:34 with a helper from Rusakov.

During the second, Galaguzov answered for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 4:35 with an assist from defenseman Capkovic. Mcatee scored a goal at 8:45 with helpers from Capkovic and Cox. Rusakov answered for Atlanta with a goal at 15:39 with an assist from defenseman Sleeper.

In the third period, Steh deposited a goal at 1:06 with helpers from Warner and Opie. Medure netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:11 with assists from Klintworth and Opie.

This loss brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (35-9-0-0).
