JR. BLUES’ MADDOX GETS NAHL CALL-UP

Dec 14, 2016

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Sam Maddox has been called up by the NAHL’s Topeka RoadRunners.

A 5’11”, 170lb native of St. Louis, Maddox has once again put up great numbers in his fourth year with the Jr. Blues and second season as club captain. This season, he has 16 goals and 22 assists in 25 games played.

“It’s great to see Sam get a chance to show his talent at the Tier II level,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher on the move. “Sam’s been the soul of the Jr. Blues the past couple years, leading by example both on the ice and off of it. We wish Sam the best of luck in Topeka and the opportunity that he’s been given.”

Maddox is the second Jr. Blues player this season to earn an NAHL promotion: in October, goaltender Hunter Smith joined the Springfield Jr. Blues for a weekend series.
