The Jr. Blues shutout the Quake 4-0

Jake Cox had a big night with 4 points (0 goals, 4 assists) as the St. Louis Jr. Blues crushed the Yellowstone Quake 4-0 in a home game at Canlan Ice Sports-Romeoville Rink 3 in St. Louis. What's more, Blake Bjella posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of Yellowstone shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead early in the first on a goal from Ivan Galaguzov and never looked back.

Jack Hatton contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ivan Galaguzov delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Galaguzov opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:20 with helpers from his linemates, Cox and Hatton. Hatton deposited a goal at 17:37 with helpers from his linemates, Galaguzov and Cox.

In the second period, Winter netted a goal at 2:11 with assists from his linemates, Cox and Monreal. Shively scored a goal at 12:07 with assists from teammates Capkovic and Cox.

The Jr. Blues’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella’s shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Waszczenko, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 38, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (3-0-0-0).
