Mar 30, 2018

Blake Bjella posted a shutout, stopping all 21 of the La Crosse Freeze shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Daniel Dunaway and never looked back.

Daniel Dunaway did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Will Baginski contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Dunaway opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:11 with helpers from his linemates, Monreal and Jones.

During the second, Capkovic deposited a goal at 7:13 with helpers from Dunaway and Monreal.

In the third period, Winter netted a goal at 10:06 with an assist from his teammate Baginski. Baginski scored a goal at 14:10 with a helper from Marshall. Hatton put in a goal at 18:58 with an assist from fellow Jr. Blues forward Papa.

St. Louis’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella’s shutout, as he stopped all 21 of the shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Graves, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (3-0-0-0).
