The Jr. Blues shutout the Falcons 7-0

The St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering the Dayton Falcons with 53 shots throughout the game, to go along with Blake Bjella's shutout. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Joe Papa and never looked back.

Joe Papa chipped in with 2 goals and Dylan Carroll did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Papa opened the scoring for St. Louis with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:17 with helpers from his linemates, Marshall and Jones. Dabbs quickly followed with a goal at 7:42 with assists from teammates Carroll and Nilsson. Carroll put in a goal at 13:26 with helpers from Dabbs and Jones. Mcatee quickly followed with a goal at 14:59. Dunaway quickly followed with a goal at 15:28 with assists from his linemates, Galaguzov and Monreal.

During the third, Papa netted a goal at 16:08 with helpers from Muzzillo and Marshall. Galaguzov quickly followed with a goal at 16:51 with assists from his linemates, Monreal and Dunaway.

The Jr. Blues’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella’s shutout, as he stopped all 10 of the shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Bavis, also had a big night, managing to stop 13 of 18, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (5-1-0-0).
