The Jr. Blues defeat the Capitals 5-3

The St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering the Atlanta Capitals with 33 shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead late in the third on a goal from Dawson Marshall.

Dawson Marshall chipped in with 2 goals and John Shively delivered for his team with 2 assists. Brody Nielsen contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Muzzillo opened the scoring for St. Louis with a goal at 2:17 with helpers from Papa and Shively.

In the second, Johnson answered for the Capitals with a goal at 0:35 with a helper from defenseman Opie. Nielsen deposited a goal at 16:23 with assists from teammates Ladzinski and Carlo.

During the third period, Klintworth scored a goal at 4:30 with an assist from his linemate Nielsen. Marshall answered for St. Louis with a goal at 7:11. Slot quickly followed with a goal at 8:55 with a helper from fellow Jr. Blues forward Dabbs. Marshall netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:32 with an assist from defenseman Shively. Baginski quickly followed with a goal at 17:52 with helpers from his linemates, Monreal and Jones.

St. Louis’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella as he stopped 16 of the 19 shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Konin, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (29-6-0-0).
