The Jr. Blues crushed the Ducks 5-2

The St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering the Point Mallard Ducks with 37 shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead late in the second on a goal from Matthew Monreal.

Bud Winter did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Will Baginski delivered for his team with 2 assists. Jarett Green contributed with 2 assists.

During the first, Chun opened the scoring for the Ducks with a goal at 1:24 with a helper from defenseman Green. Trombly put in a goal at 7:48 with helpers from teammates Goodman and Green. Winter finally put St. Louis on the board with a goal at 19:59 with assists from Shively and Baginski.

In the second, Mcatee scored a goal at 13:41 with helpers from Hatton and Cox. Monreal deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:43 with assists from his linemates, Winter and Jones.

In the third period, Winter netted a goal at 5:39 with a helper from fellow Jr. Blues forward Baginski. Jones put in a goal at 16:26 with an assist from Galaguzov.

St. Louis’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella as he stopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Bernardini, also had a big night, managing to stop 32 of 37, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (31-6-0-0).
