St. Louis rips Cincinnati, 4-0

St. Louis had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over Cincinnati.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Cincinnati faces elimination next time out.

St. Louis was sparked by Alex Werdmuller, who finished with one goal. Werdmuller scored 8:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis. Daniel Dunaway picked up the assist.

St. Louis excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. St. Louis\’ offense rang up 39 shots on Cincinnati\’s net.

St. Louis also got points from Dunaway, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. St. Louis also had goals scored by Teddy Cardinale and Alex Klaesner, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis were Dominic Caito, CJ Nitchen, Cameron McAtee, Joe Nolan, Ezekiel Estrada, and Hayden Smer, who contributed one each.

Jacob Weatherly rejected 17 shots on goal for St. Louis. St. Louis incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tyler Geloneck recorded 35 saves for Cincinnati. Cincinnati incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
