Apr 17, 2011

The St. Louis Jr. Blues are pleased to announce that Will Quillman has signed a Tender to play for the Odessa Jackalopes of the North American Hockey League next season.  Quillman, a 93 birth year defenseman tallied 12 points (1goal and 11 assists) in 44 regular season games.  Odessa will join the NAHL for the 2011/2012 season after taking over and relocating the Owatonna Express to Texas.

Head Coach J.P. Beilsten said, "Will was a rookie this season but quickly became a 'go to' blueliner and played in every situation.  Will's great skating ability and puck decisions never put us in a bad spot. I think will will be a very successful player at many levels to come."

Assistant Coach Ken Daleo continued, "Billy was an indispensable asset for us in many different situations playing the crucial remaining minutes in a period or penalty kills.  Through out the season his physical presence grew along with his overall vision on the ice.  I'm excited to see Billy moving to the next level!"

The Jackalopes had a chance to see Will at the NA3HL Showcase in Ann Arbor.  Quillman is the 3rd 2011 Jr. Blue to sign a Tender in the North American Hockey League for next season, he joins Jamie DeMarco (Kenai River Brown Bears) and Dominic Valencia (St. Louis Bandits).
