Jr. Blues Sign O’Bryan and McGlynn

Mar 22, 2013

The St. Louis Jr. Blues are happy to announce that they have signed their first two tenders for the 2013-14 season.  Head Coach J.P. Beilsten said, "We feel like we have committed to two excellent, young hockey players." The Jr. Blues signed Andy McGlynn, a 1997 birth year player that played for the Affton Americans U18 CSDHL team in 2012-13.  Also committing to the Jr. Blues is Zane O'Bryan, also a 1997 birth year player that skated with the St. Louis Amateur Blues U16 AAA team in 2012-13.

Beilsten continued, "I have been watching these guys all year, both with their youth and high school teams.  Both of them are game changers.  Both are not only skilled with the puck, but gritty.  Both will have some work to do this summer, getting stronger and learning to play against older, more physical players, but in the long run, both will have some great opporunities at the next level."

O'Bryan and McGlynn hope to join the list of tenders that went on to become successful players in the NA3HL.  Several of the tenders from 2012-13 have had outstanding seasons and are tendered at the Tier II level, including, Trey Dodd, Kyle Meeh, and Brycon Johnson.  Beilsten said, "I'm really excited about getting these guys.  I think both sides will benefit greatly!"
