JR. BLUES’ MITCHELL COMMITS TO LINDENWOOD

Jun 29, 2017

The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Zach Mitchell has committed to play hockey at Lindenwood University. Lindenwood, located in St. Charles, Mo., is one of the nation’s top ACHA Division I programs, having won the national championship in 2016.

The native of Chicago, Ill. bookended his junior career with the Jr. Blues, beginning the 2015-16 season and ending the 2016-17 season with the club. This season, Mitchell played in 14 total games for the Jr. Blues, scoring eight goals with four assists. Between those two stints, he played with the Brookings Blizzard of the NAHL.

“”Zach had many offers to play college hockey and chose Lindenwood,” said Jr. Blues head coach Chris Flaugher. “We are excited to see Zach continue his hockey career with a first class program while working to get his college degree at LU.”

Mitchell will join a large group of former Jr. Blues with the Lions: Mike Lozano, Alex Carlsson, Alex Klaesner and Tommy Heinzman all skated for Lindenwood last season.
