Dunaway's and Jones' big nights helped the Jr. Blues crush the Whalers 10-1

Daniel Dunaway and Dante Jones had big nights with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) and 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) respectively as the St. Louis Jr. Blues crushed the Wisconsin Whalers 10-1 in a home game at Oregon Ice Arena in St. Louis. Moreover, the St. Louis Jr. Blues' offense had a big night, peppering Wisconsin with 59 shots throughout the game. The St. Louis Jr. Blues took the lead early in the second on a goal from Tom Yurisich.

Tom Yurisich delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Dylan Carroll had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Dabbs opened the scoring for the Jr. Blues with a goal at 6:18 with helpers from teammates Jones and Yurisich.

In the second, Yurisich netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:04 with helpers from Jones and Dabbs. Yurisich quickly followed with a goal at 2:34 with an assist from Jones. Monreal deposited a goal at 5:41 with a helper from Dunaway. Mcatee quickly followed with a goal at 7:05 with assists from Papa and Galaguzov. Dunaway scored a goal at 19:41 with a helper from defenseman Carroll.

In the third, Dunaway put in a goal at 5:08 with assists from Capkovic and Galaguzov. Carroll netted a goal at 8:36 with helpers from Muzzillo and Marshall. Huson quickly followed with a goal at 9:59. Hohl quickly followed with a goal at 10:42 with assists from Dunaway and Monreal. Jones scored a goal at 16:26.

The Jr. Blues’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bjella’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. Bjella’s counterpart, Hufford, also had a big night, managing to stop 49 of 59, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the St. Louis Jr. Blues’ record to (3-1-0-0).
